Printing Out An Assignment…
Shouldn’t be as hard as I made it last week. In a hurry to print out a paper that was due in around 30 minutes time, I continually made mistake after mistake until I began to worry that I was stuck in some sort of eternal loop of sitting down at my computer in the library and walking to the printer. Here’s what went down:
- Printed out a copy of my assignment and a cover sheet.
- Got to desk.
- Put my name in the wrong box on the cover sheet.
- Headed back to the printer for another cover sheet.
- Got to desk.
- Realised I had printed my paper in the incorrect format.
- Headed back to the printer for another copy of the assignment.
- Got to desk.
- Realised the new formatting had put the bibliography onto the wrong page.
- Headed back to the printer for another copy of the assignment.
- Headed to desk.
- Realised I had also picked up another student’s work and stapled it to my own.
- Carefully tore the student’s print out from my own and handed it to him.
- Headed to desk.
After that, I was finally done, and I left the crowded library in an embarrassment-fuelled rush.
